Almost-Everything you ever wanted to know about Sex but still might be afraid to ask:  A Women's Sexuality Group

Weekly, for 8 weeks: Wednesday, Sept. 24- Nov. 12
Chapel Hill, NC

Almost everybody is curious about how other people think about their own sexuality--what they actually do, what they enjoy, what their insecurities are. Unfortunately, few of us have the opportunities to ask the questions we are so curious about—we can read about them, sure, but actually getting the chance to talk to individuals on a more-than-superficial level is unfortunately rare. “What do other people fantasize about?” “What do other people do to masturbate?” “Do other people like to watch porn and read erotica?” “Do some people really like anal sex?”

The Fall, 2008 Women's Group will give you a chance to ask those questions and any others that might be bubbling in your curious and inquiring brain. We will gather for eight consecutive weeks in Chapel Hill to discuss, with confidentiality, the things you want to know about. You will have the opportunity at the beginning of the series to ask your questions anonymously. Some questions will provide great opportunities for “sex education,” and I will provide relevant information and resources each week. Most of the questions, however, and consequently most of the time spent, will be devoted to discussion—of your opinions, your ideas, your curiosities, your insecurities, your pleasures, your experiences, your preferences. In these discussions none of us is an expert—we're all individuals who experience our sexualities in our own unique ways, and all of us will be enriched by hearing others' stories.

So just bring your dinner, a journal and pen or pencil, a pillow or mat to sit on if you'd like, your open mind, and your sexy self to Chapel Hill each Wednesday, September 24 through November 12 (8 weeks), from 7:00-8:30pm. We will be a small group—there are 8 spaces available to women (born or identified) of any age, women both new to my groups or returning from a previous group.

Fee $60. Email Amy to ask for a registration form: amy AT embodiedsexuality.com Because of the small number of spaces available, refunds by September 14 will be subject to a $10 cancellation fee; cancellations after the 14th will be ineligible for refunds.

"Our sexuality is always with us, whether or not we choose to act on it in a genital way. It is not just about intercourse and orgasm. It's about receptiveness and movement. It's about our most profound emotions and how we reach out to others. It's about how we think and feel and love."
