What is Embodied Sexuality?
Sexual embodiment is a practice of authenticity, self-acceptance, and
awareness. Sexual embodiment is not a goal to achieve but one "way of
being" to practice by honoring the natural ebb and flow of erotic
energies, thoughts, desires and physical sensations. Embodying one's
sexuality
might sometimes feel fun, flirtatious, playful, silly, and light...and
at other times sacred, transformative, transcendent, magical, and
spiritual. It may feel sensual, sensuous, luxurious, luscious, and
epicurean...or kinky, animalistic, carnal, raunchy, and hedonistic.
I
believe...
There are
as many ways of
being a sexual being as there are people in this world. Each
person's
erotic territory is as unique as a fingerprint, and each has the right
to explore his/her/hir own sexuality and embodiment, in whatever form
it manifests, as long as that behavior does not violate the rights or
freedoms of anyone else. For some sex may include genital
activity, for others it does not. Delving into sexuality,
embodiment,
and
eroticism in its myriad forms is the most exciting and invigorating
process of self-discovery I know.
